Affiliate Commissions

Your affiliate commissions are your earnings. Each sale you make for your sponsor will earn a percentage of the sale. This will be your commission. In order to make your affiliate business grow you will need to be sure you earn a decent commission from every affiliate program you join.

Safeguarding your commission: it is important to know how to safeguard your commission. You can do this in several ways.

Checking out the companies:

It is critical to your success that you check out the company that you are proposing to join. Be sure they are reliable and are an established business. You do not want the company to fold before you can get paid your commissions. Also you do not want to work for unreliable unscrupulous companies.

Decent sales page: Your sponsor should always have a great sales page. It is no good if you send lots of warm ready to buy visitors to your sponsor’s website only to find that the sales page does not convert well.

How much percentage: the percentage of any purchases made by the visitors you send to your sponsor’s site will be your commission. Be sure it is a reasonable percentage, at least 30 to 50 per cent so that it will be worth your while.

Reliability in payment: make sure that you are paid monthly or bi monthly and on time. You want to be quite sure that the company will not delay your payments. You do not want to work for free.

Tracking system: Be sure that your sponsor has a reliable tracking system. This will make a record of all the traffic you send to your sponsor’s site and all the sales. You can then see how your visitors are converting and how much you should be paid that month.

Cloaking your affiliate link: There are many people who wil literally steal your sales commission from you. They will either cut out your code from the link and buy direct from the company or replace your code with theirs. Either way you lose your commission. In order to prevent this you will need to use software to disguise the link or have a link that redirects your visitor to the sponsor’s sales page.

Checking that your links work: This is something that many affiliates forget to do. It is no good sending traffic to a broken link. There can be a number of reasons for broken links. Sometimes it is temporary other times it is permanent. If you find your link to your sponsor’s site is not working it is very likely one of 2 things. Your sponsor may be having some web site issues, which will be temporary, or if you are using a redirect service for that link, it may have broken and you will have to remake it or use another company.

I have found this site very useful. You will learn the real secrets from a super affiliate who has been making a nice living from affiliate programs for several years. To learn more about taking care of your commissions

A few avoidable errors when promoting your affiliate program

In this article, I have listed a quick and easy bulleted list of does and do no's when trying to promote your affiliate program.

* Many affiliate marketers make a huge mistake of posting their ads on forums. Forums can be used to promote your affiliate programs and your website but in a proper manner. Posting banners is very similar to spamming and may easily upset forum administrators.

* Always do your research before promoting your affiliate program to a potential customer. Do not offer affiliate programs to visitors who are not at all interested in the products associated with the program. This is a futile endeavour.

* If you promote affiliate programs offered by other merchants, ensure that you develop your own advertising copy. Many websites commit a common mistake of using the same advertising copy as used by the merchant themselves.

* Avoid Copyright infringement in all cases. Always use original content or ask permission to use graphic images or text found on other websites.

* Do not submit your programs to free websites. These may be free but your programs would hardly ever be noticed, especially by Search Engines. Moreover, your own ranking would get lowered if you submit your affiliate programs to such websites.

* Avoid using caps on your web page or email ad. Using caps is symbolic to shouting, which never goes well with potential customers. A few words may be written in capital text to give them additional emphasis. However, such practice should be limited.

* Always respond to all queries sent by visitors as soon as possible. A slight delay in your response could easily result in loss of a potential client.

* Do not use pop-up ads along with your webpage. Most surfers are likely to close their browser if they come across pop-ups.

* Do not host your website on a free server or use free email accounts. This gives a negative impression to visitors. Using free hosts and email accounts looks cheesy and loses sales.

* Many websites do not have an opt-in list. Create an opt-in and opt-out list for your visitors. Without these, there is no way of tracking potential customers. Visitors should be allowed to opt-in at any time as well as opt-out at any time.

* Most sites have a poor tracking mechanism. It is essential that you track all business activities. Accurate record keeping is crucial. There are many software tools, discussed earlier in this chapter, than can automate your record keeping process with minimal error.

* A 'mall' site is best used as a central hub to send visitors to your other domains. As a main or only site, unfocused mall sites don't get traffic from the engines, and they don't convert well to sales. Highly focused theme sites attract traffic and sales.

* Offline advertising may not be effective. A lot of money and effort should not be wasted on offline advertising. Most people rarely check websites that are advertised in local magazines or newspapers.

Affiliate Marketing Business Tips

I Just wanted to drop you a line and do what I can to help you be successful with your affiliate marketing business. I know that when I first started with affiliate marketing I was fresh to real internet marketing strategies which is what you need to succeed online.

I just wanted to share with you some of my favorite methods.

Articles, Articles, Articles

I have an article strategy that works like a charm to drive traffic to my website and it will work for you too. I use a manual article submitter program that allows me to add a list of article directories and fills in the fields when I am ready to submit my articles. I submit one article a week to about 100 article directory websites. This also article submitter software allows you to add directories as you find them. I did a search on Google for "article directory websites" and found a ton of great sites to add my articles to. Along with that I also purchased a lifetime membership to an automated article submission service. There was a time that I was using this service to submit one article a day for about 3 months. I did this because the more articles you have out on the internet, the more traffic you can drive to your website.

Search Engine Optimization

I also purchased some great tutorial videos which taught me how to rank highly in Google for keywords that people type in to the search engines to find home business opportunity. I'm sure that if you take a look at my site you'll see the phrase "home based affiliate business" on there a few times. You'll also find it on articles located on my website as well. Without getting too technically into this, SEO is the process of getting your website noticed by the search engines for certain keywords. It's based on on-page optimization such as keywords located on your website, and off-page optimization such as the anchor text that you include in your article resource box or biography(located at the end of your article where you get to say a bit about yourself and your website).

Learn For Successful Affiliate Marketers

When I first started my affiliate marketing business I looked up to fellow entrepreneurs who were having success. You might find them while searching for information on the search engines or by joining internet business forums. I've found them to be more than helpful. Signing up for an e-mail newsletter or two is a great way to pick their brains without even having to e-mail or call them directly.

I try to stay within a certain budget every month, and it consists of the costs involved in running my business and the products and programs mentioned above. I know sometimes it's tempting to spend money on things you believe will increase your traffic quickly, but if there's one thing I have learned it's that there are no quick fixes. If you are planning on spending though and you're not sure about the quality of the products, simply join an online forum dedicated to affiliate marketing, preferably one with a lot of members, and ask around about the product before you buy. Nine times out of 10 you'll either find a free way to do the same thing the product offers, or you'll realize that the product is a waste of money.

Just remember you can't do everything at once. The trick to is become proficient at a few techniques until you can do them like clockwork and have them built into your daily routine. Then look back at the free information you have acquired thus far online for something you might not have tried before and delve into it, and over time you will become better at that too. My best advice is to stay focused on developing profitable habits.

How to Stand Out From The Competition

We have all seen the numerous “clones” of websites out there. Each one promises ridiculous profits and each one is nearly identical. Is it possible to sell the same things these sites offer and retain your individuality? Yes!

We have all seen the numerous “clones” of websites out there. Each one promises ridiculous profits and each one is nearly identical. Is it possible to sell the same things these sites offer and retain your individuality? Yes!

For an example, let’s step outside and take a look at a typical mini-mall. These stores all look the same. Many of them sell the same items, and somehow they manage to stay afloat. How? One of the easiest ways to stand out from the competition is to offer something that customers can’t find anywhere else.

The old adage, “the grass is always greener on the other side,” can apply very heavily to an E-Business. More and more businesses pop up every day and chances are, someone else will be selling the exact same item. The only way to stand out from the competition is to research the competition.

By using popular search engines, such as and typing in keywords similar to your own keywords, you can get a very good idea of who exactly is out there. Visit their websites, see what they offer and see if you can improve the service, offer something different or make your site more appealing. You can use Alexa,, an internet ranking site, to see which one of these competitors is pulling in the most visitors. Once you have got an idea about the competition, you can start taking steps to plan your site around them.

The best way to get an edge on your competition is to offer something for free. You can do this without any cost to your business if you offer free information.

E-books are an excellent way to accomplish this. There are several free e-books available on many different subjects. You can offer a free download with the purchase of your product. This means there is absolutely no expense to you, and your customer feels that they are getting more value for their dollar. In today’s economy, that can mean everything in keeping your business afloat.

When offering free information, try to tailor it to the product you are selling. For example, if your e-business sells plant seeds, you can offer a free e-book on planting methods and care of the plants. If you can’t find an e-book out there that is right for your product, it is very simple to create your own. All you need is an idea and you are well on your way.

You can offer other free products as well, such as screensavers, a subscription to an e-zine, or coupons towards the customer’s next purchase. Your options are pretty endless when it comes to offering something for free.

The next step in standing out from the competition is seeing what they do and finding out how you can do it better. Customer service is the most important facet of running an e-business. If the competition doesn’t offer a toll-free number for customer questions and support, you can easily add one to your existing phone line. There are numerous answering services you can employ to handle this for you as well. You can use autoresponders to answer customer’s questions about your products almost instantly, which can give you a definite leg-up on the competition.

Building an online community is a fantastic way to increase your customers and keep them coming back. You can install a message board on your site very easily with little or no cost. Message boards give you a very easy way to keep in personal touch with your customers and allow them to interact with one another. Each time they come back to check for more messages, they will be visiting your site and seeing your products. It is only a matter of time before these visits convert into more sales and increased revenue for your site.

It is possible to run a successful e-business, even one that is identical to several others. You will need to take the time to research the competition and tailor your business accordingly. The small investment of time spent doing this will increase your returns dramatically.

Know About Affiliate Marketing

By: tejiforu dude

Affiliate marketing has many descriptions, yet all have the same meaning. Affiliate marketing is a huge business piece on the Internet. It is a cooperative effort between merchants and an affiliate’s website. For many years now, affiliate marketing has proved to be a cost-efficient, measurable method of delivering long-tern results. It has become famous for Internet sites who are trying to make some extra or additional income for their site. Every day, people get interested to affiliate marketing and want to make money out of it. But in many cases, these new affiliates do not fully understand the affiliate world and make costly mistakes. In other words, affiliate marketing has often been misunderstood.

One of the common misconceptions that are being associated about affiliate marketing is “selling”; though selling is an important activity of affiliate marketing and the central function of a business operation. Another is that affiliate marketing is commonly linked with “advertising”.

In affiliate marketing, an affiliate is compensated for every visitor, subscriber and/or customer provided through his efforts. The said compensation may be made based on a certain value for each visit. The most attractive aspect of affiliate marketing from the merchant’s viewpoint is that no payment is due to an affiliate until results are appreciated.

Affiliate marketing is typically being run by affiliate networks and this affiliate networks are composed of two functional bodies, the group affiliates and the group merchants. Each has their special function and role when it comes to affiliate marketing. The affiliate network acts as a third party between the merchant and the associated affiliates. The network provides the technology to deliver the merchant’s campaigns and offers. The affiliate network also collects commission fees from the merchant and then pays the affiliates which are part of the program.

The merchant is any web site owner that wants or desires to take advantage of performance based marketing. The benefits to the merchant are many. First, the merchant maintains and operates the affiliate program. If it would be extracted, for more detail the merchant needs to do their part by researching interested affiliate websites to ensure that they are a good fit for that particular website. Finding a fit for their merchandise would be the key to more generated income.

The affiliate or the affiliate marketer also sees a lot of benefits. The affiliate is a web site owner that promotes one or more merchants and their affiliate programs. Affiliate marketing can generate a full-time income for the affiliate. But this is not an easy task to accomplish. The affiliate needs to have a better understanding with the merchant what the commission will be, for more detail expected payment method and time involved in the contract. The affiliate has also the responsibility to stand for the merchandise their user based would be most interested in. For example, if the site has a user base of mainly stay-at-home mothers, then on-line job openings such as surveys would be a good match for them. This group would also appreciate direct links to children’s products and informational sites.

Affiliate marketing is a great situation for both the marketer and the affiliate. If they would work together, they can be an advantage to both. Plus the fact that it seems to make sense, it is easy and inexpensive way to start, and you can be up and running within a few days. But there is one thing to consider, it is how to get traffic and make your offer different than all others.

3 Commonly Asked Questions about Affiliate Managemen

People have all kinds of questions about starting their own affiliate program and it’s always a good idea to be prepared. Starting and managing your own affiliate program isn’t something that can be done on the fly. It takes carefully preparation and planning, but the results are well worth it. Here are 3 commonly asked questions:

Question 1: How much commission should I offer in my affiliate program?

How much you offer will depend on the amount you can afford, taking into consideration the lifetime value of a customer, what your competition is doing and how attractive you can make your offer.

As a general statement, information products usually have a higher commission rate - often between 25-50% with the higher end being more common. Consumer products with smaller profit margins can be as low as 5%, but don’t often go above 20%.

But what you charge should be based on your own unique business. Here are some more things to help you come to a decision:

Sometimes it’s okay to pay a bit more for a first-time customer who will buy from you over and over again.

Always see what your competition is offering. You don’t have to get into a commission war, just be sure to make your program very attractive through good conversion rates, unique and useful promotional tools and other attractive features.

Question 2: What kind of affiliate tools should I provide to my affiliates?

The simplest answer is: Give them what they want.

Talk to your affiliates and see what they need to serve their unique audience needs, and where possible, provide it to them.

For hard-hitting promotions, you can craft email copy, conduct live teleseminars with content and sales pitch, special reports, etc.

For the content-starved webmaster (and there are plenty out there), give them things like articles, free ebooks and other informational content.

The important thing is to listen to your affiliates and watch which tools convert best.

Question 3: Can I have an affiliate program with a service-based business?

Sure you can. If you have a profit margin or a lifetime customer value that allows you to pay commissions, certainly.

If you have services available that are at a set price, it’s easy to automate everything and run your program, just like a product-based one.

If you charge by the hour or have to give project estimates, it’s a little tougher to automate completely.

Here are a few options:

- Have a script that can track who referred your potential client to you. Ex. Affiliate recommends your service through a tracking link. Potential client clicks the link, checks out your website and fills out a form for more information. Your system tells you who referred the client and if they purchase your services, you can give the affiliate a commission.

- You could do it as a pay-per-lead opportunity where the affiliate is paid a smaller fee for every person that fills out the form for more information. This would be easy to automate in most affiliate systems that can handle pay-per-lead transactions.

- Don’t want to go with a full-blown affiliate program? You can institute a client referral program where you simply allow your clients to recommend your service, in return for credit for services. When a new client comes to you, you ask where they heard about you and you add a credit to your referring client’s account

An affiliate force is an incredibly powerful thing and when you consider you don’t have to pay affiliates anything until they produce results for you, it’s one of the best deals going in Internet marketing today. Plan your program well and you’ll soon have your own active force of affiliates bringing you new customers every day.

How to Make Money With an Affiliate Site

By: Ranju Kumar

These days it seems like everyone has an affiliate store. The competition is tough. When you first built your affiliate store you probably felt like you were securing your early retirement. If it hasn't happened yet, that doesn't mean that it won't. There are some important issues to remember before giving up on your affiliate site.

When you choose a host for your affiliate site did you choose a place like Ebay or Amazon where you could only draw in products that they offer? This could cause your store to blend in with other affiliate stores in your niche market. A better way to get around this fundamental problem is to move your store to a host, like that will draw products for many different sources. This will give you a product line that will stand out in the crowd.

If you feel like your store is top notch but it is just hard to find then you need to spend some time working on your Google rating. This sounds more difficult than it really is. When it comes to Google, content is king, as they say. You must have meaningful, informative content to complement your store. It is the only way you will acquire a good Google rating. Once you have the content you can start working on incoming links. Google will improve your site's ranking if a more popular site links back to you. You can get incoming links by chatting on popular forums or commenting on blogs that are related to your niche market. Just include a link to your store in your signature line.

Having a great store and even a decent Google rating really isn't enough to allow you to quit your day job. You must have an email marketing campaign to really target your audience. If your store is new then you probably haven't built up a big opt-in list. List building takes time if you do it on your own. Your best bet is to let someone else help you do it.

The three steps to making money online: build a site, get listed on the search engines, and launch your marketing campaign. Making money online never looked so easy. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of the equation if you want to make serious money online, it will take work and time but it can be done. So get online and change your life!

Affiliate marketing: A Great Way to Sell Other Peoples Products

By: seema sharma

Many debates go on about the best affiliate marketing programs and no real winners are found so perhaps it is just best to stick with regular websites. Affiliate marketing is a great way to sell other peoples products etc., while earning a commission. Of course the simplest way is often the best especially for beginners and a single page website can achieve the same results as a multi page site. This is possibly the best way to make money online and the easiest. So far so good but what about the product(s) you intend to sell? Although it may sound like a chore, failing to read and understand a companies affiliate terms and conditions could cost you a great deal of money. If you want to be paid for generating sales you will do this after all it will be your business. Some programs restrict where they the countries to which payments are made so if you are not on their approved list, you will not get paid.

Unless you intend to have a massive turnover with a product, steer clear of affiliate programs with less than 50 percent commission payments. Still one of the best affiliate marketing resources .where there is information and products listed in categories and links to the sales page of the product being sold. Almost all reputable affiliate programs will allow you to join them at no charge (not even an admin fee) so be very careful handing over money to any company that says you need to pay them a single registration fee. The majority of programs will use Paypal or Click bank and both are trustworthy so to ensure you are covered, register with both systems as it is free. In the early days it is better you do not experiment with other payment gateways until you have gained some experience in affiliate marketing techniques.

To make money from their free ebooks, many authors have affiliate links in the url\'s, so if you visit some of these do not feel that you have to buy anything. It is easy to spend a great deal of money when you start before you have made your first dollar if you are not careful; start by using whatever free resources you can at first. For a beginner this is a way to see if something works and to then trust the person who supplied it and buy from them at some point in the future. Where possible in you affiliate marketing business, use alternative forms of advertising to increase your exposure and direct people to your site that might otherwise have missed it. All you need to do is show people how to learn more at your website and let it do the rest. Why Affiliate Programs - Things to Consider?

One of the easiest and potentially lucrative ways to start a home business is through affiliate programs. Affiliate programs are programs that are designed for individuals that are willing to promote and sell an existing product or service for some sort of commission.
his article will help you understand these programs and help you decide if getting involved in one of these programs is right for you. Affiliate programs are everywhere. There are literally thousands of them that cover a wide variety of products and services. The idea of affiliate programs is fairly simple.

First you find a company that offers an affiliate program (which isn't hard to do at all) For more helps visit on, sign up as an affiliate; get your affiliate links and whatever other marketing tools they give you; and then your ready to promote. It's just that simple, or is it? Here are some things that you need to consider before becoming an affiliate.

What is You Promoting/Selling - It would be more beneficial to you if you promote something that you already have some general knowledge about or something that interest you.

Whatever it is you choose, make sure you learn it inside and out. Remember; you have to pitch the product to potential buyers, you want to be able to know what you are talking about.
Companies Reputation - Take some time to find out about the company that you are working with.
Find out how long they have been in business. Read customer reviews and affiliate testimonials.

Get as much information as you can. You can even look the company up at the Better Business Bureau to see if they are a member; if they are that is a good start. Commission Rate - Find out your exact commission for each item that you are selling. Finding this out alone may increase or decrease your interest in that company, for more details go on

I would recommend companies that offer a 25-50% commission on every item sold by you. Pay Schedule - Decide if their pay schedule works for you. Different affiliate programs have different pay schedules. Some pay weekly, bi-weekly, or even once a month.

Marketing Tools Provided - It is always helpful when an affiliate program provides marketing tools to help you advertise their products. These tools may consist of websites, banners, fliers or business cards.
How and Where to Promote - This is the fun part because there are so many ways you can promote.
You can do it via email, online ads, online forums, video marketing (youtube), on social networking sites(mete cafe, digg), newspapers, magazines, fliers, etc...

What ever method is most comfortable for you. Create a couple of marketing plans and run with them. Affiliate programs can bring in some real income that can in turn create a legit home business; but one draw back is that if the company your affiliated with goes down, so do you as their affiliate. This is why I recommend dealing with several different companies. This will create more streams of income and a little more stability.

Choosing an Affiliate Program - What You Need to Consider

Is the company reputable?
Even though most of the affiliate programs that you come across in your search for affiliate opportunities will be reputable it is still a good idea to do some research first. Just because an affiliate program may have a fancy website with all the bells and whistles doesn't mean that they are a reputable program. In order to avoid being scammed you can do a number of things to find out more about the company before you click the "join" button. The first way to learn more about an affiliate program is to do a quick search on google fo the name of the program.
Does this search bring back only a few listings or are there thousands? The more the better, and that is because you can then look at any reviews for the company. You then have to ask yourself, are there glowing reviews? Are there many other affiliate websites built around this company? This type of research will let you know that this affiliate program is here to stay and won't be folding in a year or two after you've worked hard to build your business.

Is there a fee to join the program?
Almost all affiliate programs are free to join. This makes sense because the operator of the affiliate program uses your effort to make money from the products you promote for them. You make a percentage and the merchant makes a percentage. Network marketing is a structure where you may be required you to purchase products or pay a membership fee in order to qualify for the sales earnings you have generated in a month. Affiliate programs don't have such requirements. Many people do very well under both structures. what is the commission structure?

How you are compensated for your work is the most important aspect of researching affiliate programs before you join. Some affiliate programs pay a fixed dollar amount per sale, some pay you for having people fill out surveys and information, and others will pay for each click you route to their website. Once you have this information you'll need to find out the commission rate or percentage you will be paid. If you are building a website around a number of affiliate programs you would probably want to showcase the product that pays you the most commissions.

Comparing affiliate programs based on their commission structure will be the ultimate factor in determining how much money you will can generate from the program. Another important factor is whether the company will pay you for repeat sales from the same customer. In other words, If you sell a product through an affiliate company will you be paid for any future sales from that customer?

The best affiliate programs have a re-occurring sales feature feature. Another important commission factor is whether the affiliate program uses a 2-tier system. Having a 2 tier system provides you with two sources of income. The first source comes from selling product, and the second comes from recruiting new affiliates who also sell product. Each affiliate program has different rules so some will pay you for each new affiliate you sign up, while others will pay you a percentage of these affiliates sales. There are many factors to consider when choosing to join an affiliate program. The last thing you want to do is have a website built around products that are not of good quality, or find out later that the commissions structure was not as you had thought and therefore you end up making less money than you had anticipated. Choosing a reputable affiliate program that has products and services that benefit the consumer is the easiest way to profit with affiliate programs.

How many different types Of Affiliate Marketing!

Affiliate marketing programs has never been as popular before as it is today. Why? There can be a number of reasons. The most probable reason, however, could be the fact that the benefits of affiliate marketing have become clearer to a lot of people now than they were before. Today, both the merchants and the affiliates can see clearly that affiliate marketing can work for both of them. The merchant sees affiliate marketing today as the chance to advertise their products at a lower cost. The affiliates, on the other hand, sees affiliate marketing as an easy way of earning profits online by doing what they like most, and that is by creating websites. Just as the popularity of affiliate marketing has shifted into greater heights, so has the people's outlook about it changed? No longer is affiliate marketing considered today as an alternative method for the merchant to advertise his products, or as a source of additional income for the affiliates. For merchants and affiliates alike, affiliate marketing is now considered as a main source of profits and revenues.
So the question now is what type of affiliate marketing will work best for you?
Are all affiliate marketing programs the same?
Are the benefits the same?
Or are there affiliate marketing programs that work better than the others? There are actually different types or classes of affiliate marketing, and the number of types will depend on how one will classify them or go to The most basic affiliate marketing programs, however, falls under two categories: pay-per-click (PPC), and pay-per-performance (PPP). Pay per Click (PPC) PPC is the most popular type of affiliate marketing for affiliates with small websites, and probably the easiest way for them to earn money. In this affiliate marketing type, the merchant pays his affiliate whenever a visitor is referred to his site that is whenever someone clicks through the merchant's banner or text ads. The affiliate gets paid a certain amount even if the visitor he referred does not purchase anything from the merchant's site. However, typical fees for PPC affiliate programs are small, usually not exceeding a dollar for every click. Pay per Performance (PPP) PPP affiliate marketing is the most popular among merchant and is also the most lucrative type for the affiliates. In this type of affiliate program, the merchant only pays the affiliate whenever his referral translates into an action—that is whenever the visitor he has referred actually buys something from the merchant's site or when the visitor becomes a lead.

This means a lot of savings for the merchant. On the other hand, it becomes the most lucrative type for the dedicated affiliate, for commissions in PPP affiliate marketing usually comes in the range of 15% to 20% of the actual product sales. Pay-per-performance affiliate marketing can be further classified into two popular types: pay-per-sales (PPS) and pay-per-lead (PPL). O Pay per Sale (PPS) in a pay-per-sale type of affiliate marketing, the merchants pay the affiliate a certain fee whenever the visitor he has referred to the merchant's site actually buys something from the merchant's site you can visit In this type of affiliate marketing, the affiliate is paid whenever the visitor he referred to the merchant's site fills up an application form or any similar form related to the business of the company. Compensation for this type of affiliate marketing is based on a fixed fee whose rates approximate that of the fixed fee in the PPS type. Aside from these three specific types of affiliate marketing, a lot of other affiliate marketing types exist. If the classification is based on the depth of the affiliate network, it can be classified as single-tier, two-tier, and multi-tier affiliate marketing. There is also another type of affiliate marketing that pays the affiliate each time the customer he has referred purchases something from the merchant's site. Single-Tier, Two-Tier, and Multi-Tier Affiliate Marketing These types of affiliate marketing are based on the different levels or tiers in the affiliate network by which payments are made. In a single-tier affiliate marketing program, the affiliates are only paid based on the direct sales or traffic he has referred to the merchant. All the previously mentioned affiliate marketing types (i.e. PPS< PPL, and PPC) fall under the single-tier classification. In two-tier affiliate marketing programs, the affiliate is not only paid for the direct traffic or sales that he refers to the merchant's site, but also on every traffic or sales referred by various other affiliates who joined the affiliate program through his recommendation.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts. Affiliate marketing is also the name of the industry where a number of different types of companies and individuals are performing this form of Internet marketing, including affiliate networks, affiliate management companies, and in-house affiliate managers, specialized third party vendors, and various types of affiliates/publishers who promote the products and services of their partners.
Affiliate marketing overlaps with other Internet marketing methods to some degree, because affiliates often use regular advertising methods. Those methods include organic search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, and in some sense display advertising. On the other hand, affiliates sometimes use less orthodox techniques, such as publishing reviews of products or services offered by a partner.

Affiliate marketing—using one website to drive traffic to another—is a form of online marketing, which is frequently overlooked by advertisers. While search engines, e-mail, and website syndication capture much of the attention of online retailers, affiliate marketing carries a much lower profile. Still, affiliates continue to play a significant role in e-retailers' marketing strategies Affiliate Program

7 Steps Of Mega Adsense Earners

The Google AdSense program is like finding money in the street.
Kids in High School are making thousands of dollars a month with Adsense...
Housewives, Retiree's, Mom and Pop's who've never made a dime on the Internet have created full time incomes by simply placing AdSense Ads on their web site or blog.

Then you have the "Super AdSense" earners. We have all heard of them... the Elite few who are on track to make half a million dollars a year or more promoting AdSense sites. Do not be mistaken though... these people are not building like your Mom and Pop's do. They have systems in place that create sites for them... people who build sites for them... they have outsourced and automated many of the tedious tasks such as posting to blogs and searching for keywords. While most people cannot emulate everything these Super AdSense earners do... many of them you can.

Here are 7 Required Steps you can implement today to copy their success.
1) Starting today... treat your AdSense business like it is a REAL business and track what you do.
Begin tracking what you are doing that works... as well as what you are doing that does not work. This will keep you from making the same mistakes over and over, and you can repeat the steps that have worked in the past. As simple as this step seems... most people do not know the reason(s) to their success or failure.
2) Utilize the latest tools and software available.
The Super AdSense earners are not any smarter than your average person. I know many people think they are... but for the most part, they are regular non techie people. They are smarter in one respect though... they use the latest tools available to them to automate most of the tasks involved with researching and creating sites. They use the latest keyword, site creation and search engine optimization tools available. The tools they use are their secret weapons.
3) Quit chasing the Mega Dollar keywords.
You cannot compete with the search engine experts who create sites for the $80 payout keywords. You may get lucky every now and then... but in the long run, you are better off building sites for the low to mid range payout keywords. The competition is less, and your chance of success is much higher over the long term.
4) Choose broad niches and break it down.
Choose a broad subject as your main theme (lets use computers for an example). From there... break it down into as many sub niches as possible. Using Computers as the example... you could build sub niches/sites like laptop computers, computer hard drives, computer keyboards, etc, etc. You could literally build hundreds of sites around one major theme and stay totally focused. Once you have exhausted every possible sub niche of that major theme... choose another main theme and repeat the process.
Keep your sites easy to navigate and forget the fancy graphics that distract your visitors attention. Unless you are just building AdSense sites for the fun of it and to impress your friends... the purpose of having the site is to have people click on one of the ads, right?
Then keep the site layout simple... dump the scrolling banners, dancing chickens and colored scroll bars... they are distractions.
6) What is the purpose of your web site?
Your web site cannot be everything to everybody. If you have a full fledged ecommerce site, with products for sale... links to other products, it is not a good site for AdSense. If the primary focus of the site is to sell products... let it do that. Do not distract or confuse your visitor with to many options or choices. The best AdSense sites are AdSense only content sites that sell nothing. They are sites that "Tell"... not "Sell."
7) Be consistent.
This is not one of those deals where you build one site and you are done.
Refer back to Step #4. You must continuously build in order to be successful.
hink of it as planting a crop that you will harvest in a month or two, and the sites you build are seeds. Once the seeds have grown and matured... you will reap the harvest.
The more seeds you plant... the larger the harvest.
To sum it up... utilize the tools available to automate as much of the process of building sites - doing research and building keyword lists as you can. This alone will help keep you organized and on track. Be consistent in building... treat it like the business it is and you will reap the rewards of your harvest.Andrew Daum is the Publisher of the New Traffic Tools Newsletter.

Some Great Affiliate Marketing Tips

Become a Native Remedies Affiliate and Earn 25% Commissions!

Affiliate marketing is probably one of the best ways to make money on the internet. With this article I hope to give you some tips to make your business a little more prosperous.

1. You want to create an information packed mini site. Build your mini site directed at a certain niche. You can then choose your affiliate program products so they fit nicely with the people who are looking at your niche sites.

2. Promotion of your product is very important but what’s more important is tracking those promotions. Tracking your ads is so important in order to see which of your programs and ads are working for you.

3. If you publish an ezine this will give you a great way to promote your affiliate programs to all your subscribers. It is important however to choose affiliate programs and products that fit the category of your ezine. This will make it more worth your while once you start promoting the program.

4. In your ezine you have to promote your affiliate programs and the products that are involved in the programs. In your ezine you should have a section that recommends your affiliate programs and another section that recommends the products. You don’t have to mention dollars and cents but in your ezine you can make sure your readers know which of your programs make the best money for you.

5. Something else you can do is right product reviews for products from your affiliate program. You don’t want to make these reviews with hype. You do want to be honest. You should post these reviews on your web site somewhere.

6. You’re going to want to write your own ads for your affiliate programs. You can direct your ads in several different ways such as how this product will save you time, save you money or how it’s easy to understand and work. Make sure you track these ads to see which ones are working.

7. Everybody loves freebies and affiliates are no different. You can offer all your visitors something free such as an email course or an eBook of some sort. Once these people sign up to your program you want to make sure you give your affiliates something free for them to give away.

8. Create a directory of affiliate programs. Make sure your program is listed in this directory. You can do this through articles, blogs or on your website. You can also build an eBook directory making sure your eBooks are all in this directory.

9. You are going to run your ads in other ezines. Make sure you pick ezines that are directly related to what you are promoting. Make sure you run your ads in multiple issues.

I personally use all these tips in all my affiliate programs. They have worked equally great. The key to remember is that with affiliate marketing you can’t just sign up, sit back and let the program do the work. Any kind of work you do on line involves a lot of hard work. If you implement all these tips and work hard knowing that it will take some time to see profits then I can guarantee you will be successful.
